Addenda to nominate of MR. Ivan S. Obolensky
Although born in England, Mr. Obolensky came to the US as a small child. He studied in USA. He volunteered for the US Navy as a pilot. Upon return, he studied and graduated from Yale University.
Mr. Obolensky devoted his life to both American and Russian (USA based) charitable organizations. He is a chairman and CEO of the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, airmen’s and Coast Guard Club in New York which assists enlisted personnel of the US Armed Forces; he also serves a Director and treasurer of the Russian Nobility Association and as a high Officer of the Knights of the Orthodox Order of St John Russian Grand Priory which give humanitarian assistance worldwide (earlier, he served on the Board of Tolstoy Foundation, helping refugees and displaced persons of WW II).
He is frequently noted in various publications for his financial acumen and charitable work. He is indeed a worthy representative of the Russian ethic group.
Respectfully submitted,
Elizaveta Filatova.
